❌ Martial arts training - great option - but you need to have a martial arts school nearby to be able to train, you have to fit it in your schedule, there’s a potential for injury, it takes months to years to get proficient and it’s not cheap.

Will the case set off a metal detector?
No – there are no metal parts in the case itself; if you have your phone in the case and try to go through a metal detector – of course, you’ll set off the metal detector.
Do I need any special training to use the Sharktooth case?
No – if you can grip the case and make a throwing motion, like throwing a rock, football, baseball, etc. – then you can use the case to protect yourself.
Is the case heavy?
No – the case is only slightly heavier than your standard phone case.

You’re right! (No, not about the case being stupid part😊) There’s no substitute for learning practical, effective martial arts for self defense. Several of the principles of the company are lifelong martial artists, so we understand better than most the importance of martial arts training. That being said – if you CAN’T learn martial arts for whatever reason, or you don’t have the TIME to learn martial arts, or you’re simply looking for a simple and effective tool that you can use to protect yourself with no training, so you can feel safer – then the Sharktooth case is the answer.
I’m a small woman; can I generate enough force with this case to hurt an attacker and get away?
Yes! It doesn’t matter what size you are – if you forcefully and repeatedly strike someone with a hard, pointed object, it’s going to cause pain and a reaction. That’s what’s great about the Sharktooth case; if you strike someone ANYWHERE on their body or head, it’s going to hurt, get them to react and give you a chance to get away.
Carrying a gun is a far better way to protect yourself.
Carrying a firearm IS one layer of self defense – and a powerful one; unfortunately, carrying a gun comes with it’s own set of challenges. They can be expensive. They require extensive and ongoing training. They can potentially be a massive liability if you have to use it. Laws are different in every state, so you can’t travel with them. They are heavy and not always convenient to carry. You have to take extra safety precautions in you have children in your house. You can’t take them everywhere with you, like churches, schools, federal parks and more. The Sharktooth phone case is simple, safe and legal. You’ve almost always got your phone with you – so you’ll almost always be armed and not even look like it.
Can I hurt myself with the case? If my child gets ahold of it, can they hurt themselves with it?
The only way you or your child could hurt yourself with the case is if you or they forcibly and purposefully hit yourself somewhere on your body or head. There are no moving parts and no metal.

Is this safe to let my toddler hold/play with?
Yes – there are no metal or moving parts in the case. The only way you or your child could hurt yourself is if you physically and forcefully struck yourself with it.
What’s the difference between hitting with the self defense case and just hitting an attacker with a phone? How much stronger is it really?
There are several differences. You CAN strike a bad guy with your phone – but the phone’s aren’t designed to transfer or absorb force, so you have no idea the amount of damage you’ll do to the bad guy – but you’ll almost certainly break your phone.
We’ve tested the case by breaking wood, cement, cinder blocks, glass, puncturing watermelon and more – all WITHOUT damaging the phone.
How do you clean it without wearing the silicone into a distorted, dull looking mess?
We recommend any dishwashing liquid like Dawn and water for cleaning and just wipe dry with a cloth or towel
Will heat or direct sunlight distort the silicone outer covering of the case?
We have not had any issues with the silicone cases distorting when in direct sunlight. However, it’s generally not a good idea to leave your phone in direct sunlight/heat for an extended period of time, regardless of what case it has.
What it I accidentally tear the outer silicone? Can I simply buy that replacement part?
Yes, replacement parts will be made available on our site.
What if, in an attack, the attacker gains control of the case? Isn’t that more dangerous?
Of course, there is always a risk of ANYTHING you use to defend yourself possibly being taken away and used against you. This is why awareness is so important and something we teach and preach; you want to be able to see any potential problems coming so you can be prepared.
Why doesn't it have a knife that pops out?
We wanted to create a self defense tool that was safe, legal, you could travel freely with it and required the least amount of training to be used effectively. Knives take extensive training to use for self defense and are not TSA legal, so you can’t travel with it.
My phone case will do just fine in a pinch.

Why are the corners squared off?
